The 10th IWA specialistion conference on Instrumentation, Control and Automation was held in Cairns, 14-17 June 2009.

The AWMC was featured in the presentation awards with visiting PhD student, Liu Ye (front right) winning the Best Young Water Professional Presentation Award, Oriol Gutierrez (back) was highly commended for this award and Christoph Ort was runner up for the Best Poster prize.
